Job Description

What we are looking for:
An experienced engineer who is passionate about building enterprise-grade systems.

You are passionate about new technologies and ready to push the boundaries of what is achievable. You are enthusiastic about working with the latest technologies and/or developing large-scale server-side technologies for collaboration platforms supporting rich conversational experiences.

You are looking for challenges and opportunities, with the ability and desire to bring new ideas. You are a team player and will work with other experienced co-workers to evolve the technology stack and build modern, awesome experiences for our customers. You must have a solid understanding of building performant, scalable user interfaces and servers with large-scale data, an obsession with design aesthetics, and engineering excellence.

What you get to do in this role:

Build highly interactive applications that can scale with application complexity
Create tools, libraries, and frameworks for other developers to build upon
Apply new technology and innovation to improve platform functionality
Write high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (code reviews, unit testing, etc.)
Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and own the code from design to delivery
Design software that is simple to use, allowing customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs
Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite
Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge-sharing

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with 5+ years of software industry experience for bachelor's
Significant experience designing and implementing highly interactive and high-volume applications
Expertise in backend technologies:
- Java, JUnit, REST, JSON
- Relational databases, SQL, and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate
- Frontend technologies, with solid JavaScript experience
- Competence in design, usability, and scalability
Python experience is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication

Preferred (nice to have):

Hands-on DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar)
